Wire Mesh Containers: Planning Storage and Handling
Visible and organised storage
Wire mesh containers keep goods together while allowing their contents to remain visible. Welded wire or mesh structures can be combined with different frames and bases to suit material movement within a facility.
Access and stacking
Front or side opening sections can be designed to provide access to stored goods. Foldability is an option where reducing the space occupied by empty containers matters. Loaded and empty stacking conditions should be defined separately.
Dimensions and loads
Container dimensions depend on the size of the goods, total weight and available routes within the facility. Compatibility with forklifts, pallet trucks or other lifting systems depends on the particular design; not every container supports every handling method.
Rampel considers folding wire baskets, containers and handling equipment within the wider warehouse flow. Colours and identification details can be agreed as part of the quotation. A product sample, intended load, dimensions and an operational layout provide useful design inputs.
